Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing, Inc. (JASM) is a subsidiary established in Kumamoto Prefecture. TSMC is a majority shareholder of JASM, whereas Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation, Denso Corporation, and Toyota Motor Corporation are minority shareholders. JASM is TSMC's first manufacturing facility in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. It was established to meet the strong global demand for semiconductors. By supporting our customers with the highest standard of specialty semiconductor technologies, JASM works to promote innovation in all Japanese industrial sectors, including automotive and image sensors, and thereby contribute to the revitalization of the Japanese economy.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

(Immediately after hiring)

The candidate will be placed under the CEO and president, providing support to the Fab Director in executing the strategic mission of the headquarters. As the key bridge between the headquarters and JASM, this role will be responsible for reporting the status of semiconductor fabrication to the headquarters, leading department or section, and managing core responsibilities, including but not limited to:

・Deliver high-level insights to align production capabilities with organizational objectives.

・Manage short-term and long-term capacity, tools, cost, and CapEx planning activities.

・Identify and improve tool productivity and asset effectiveness.

・Find and drive cost improvement opportunities.

・Increase people productivity through innovative and systematic approach.

・Drive monthly output goals by optimizing bottleneck tool utilization.

・Optimize manufacturing cycles and improve delivery reliability.

・Ensure on-time delivery to customers by overseeing production status.

 

(Scope of change)

There is a reassignment to the work specified by the Company.

 

Minimum Qualifications

1.Bachelor's degree or above, majored at Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Statistics, Computer Science, and Business Management or related fields are plus.

2.10+ years of experience of which 5+ years in Manufacturing industry and 3+ years of leadership experience.

3.Language: Fluent in both Japanese and English in speaking, listening and writing, and Mandarin is preferable.

4.Project Management Experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

1.Dual background in both business and engineering is preferred.

2.Familiarity with semiconductor industry. 

 

Working Conditions

1.Location - （Immediately after hiring) 4106-1 Haramizu, Kikuyou-machi, Kikuchi-gun, Kumamoto, 869-1102 　(Scope of Change) Location determined by the Company

2.Working Days & Hours - 8:30～17:30
